The course comprises three days' face-to-face teaching supplemented by pre-course learning and support in the workplace if required. It covers the theory underpinning anticoagulation management, the pharmacology of Vitamin K antagonists (warfarin) and the Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs) including dosing, antidotes and interactions
Awareness in Anticoagulant Management
This course is aimed at anyone involved in the monitoring or dosing of anticoagulation medication, such as GPs, Practice Nurses, & Pharmacists. No prior qualifications are needed, and no mentor is required

Preventing avoidable harm from VTE is fundamental in improving the safety and quality of care provided to patients.
